Staying strongly connected to its roots yet uprooting! That's this years CaLM Festival. Following on from its success and entering a third year CaLM has a new home; a stone’s throw away from its conception, this family friendly, day long music festival has settled in Thurton and will be bigger and better than ever.
Whilst keeping to its traditional August Bank Holiday Sunday 11am - 11pm slot and focusing on high end musical entertainment, 2016 brings with it some changes; not only a larger venue but funfair rides and award winning UK artists.
Previous years have seen spectacular tributes to Pink Floyd and Johnny Cash. This year’s headliners will, topically, bring a tear to many eyes and a lump to the throat as CaLM pays tribute to the legendary David Bowie courtesy of the breath-taking performance of the UK's number 1 Bowie tribute act "David Live".
From the first chords resonating from the "Doors Plus" main stage to the exploding firework finale CaLM will contradict its name by injecting frenzied fun and energy to its revellers whilst providing a chilled environment for music lovers and festival goers alike to witness this little gem of the musical calendar.
