A family run public house that contains a pool table and ales made in our very own, award winning, micro-brewery and guest ales from all over the country. Our best selling session ale, Heacham Gold, keeps you jolly all the way through the night whilst our higher percentage ales can make you wobbly and cheery; ales such as Nelson Blood Bitter (5.1%) which is infused with rum or our IPA(5.2%) puts hair where there were none before are great examples.
If you are popping in for a pint, you may well find yourself in our restaurant eating our homemade food. We have had specials such as waterbuffalo pie, caruru curry and our feta and halloumi pie; constantly changing what's on the specials menu to cater to every taste. All meat and vegetables are able to be sourced to local fields and butcher's around the Norfolk area, such as our waterbuffalo (Wally) who was spoilt by rubbing shoulders with royalty at Sandringham estate. You can try and hunt for the picture of Wally in our pub as he is hung up on our wall.
Special events are held at points throughout the year, such as our highly anticipated beer festivals that are held on the last weekend of July. People travel from such places as the Falkland islands to come participate in the 4 day celebration of music, food, wine, 40 gins, over 20 different guest ales and numerous 7% ciders. Other events includes classic car rallies, scooter rallies and steam engines.
