"Toccata" - to be touched musically



Toccata is an exciting female duo. Donna Duval and Shelley Freeman are both experienced entertainers, with extensive backgrounds in the industry. Donna has been singing from an early age - she trained with John Roper and started her career back in 1987. Since deciding to become a full-time entertainer in 1989, she has appeared in films, shows, cabaret and much more. Donna has toured all over the UK and abroad, and has performed alongside some well known names. Donna represented the UK in pop festival in Bitola, Macedonia singing in their native language.



Joining Donna in Toccata is Shelley, who also has a long history in the entertainment business. Shelley, learned of her love of performance when she began taking dance lessons at the tender age of 2 and a half. Shelley left the June Glennie School of Dance at the age of 18 and went on to train in musical theatre at the Laine Theatre Arts school in Epsom, Surrey, working in the holidays as a Bluecoat entertainer at various Pontins resorts. She has appeared as a singer and dancer in cabaret abroad, on cruise ships and in musicals, numerous other performing jobs as well as being a qualified dance teacher in ballet, tap and modern dancing. Shelley also enjoyed two and a half years as Cruise Manager for DFDS Seaways.



Toccata has had much success over the years both locally and internationally and the two voices blend beautifully with stunning harmonies. Their repertoire ranges from 40s up to the present day and are two versatile singers who love what they do. Toccata have worked the cabaret circuit along the east coast of England, working for Park Resorts as star cabaret and various other holiday parks and clubs, supporting names such as Jimmy Cricket and Roger De Coursey at various Theatres around the country.



Appearing at a variety of local venues, Toccata perform a huge number of popular hits; including songs from the shows, pop, rock and more. Toccata will bring a brilliant entertainment to any function, event or pub. Donna and Shelley also perform as solo entertainers.
